The other day I took my car into the shop, so while waiting on repairs I walked across the street to the Goodwill (This one is always packed so I had to go to figure out why) Anyway, so I'm walking around and there are tons of New Target clothes with tags still on them. I couldnt believe it. I can only assume my Target (which is just about a mile from Goodwill) takes all there non-selling clearance stuff to that goodwill. Alot of the things at Goodwill I had just recently seen at my Target on clearance. Hmm.. I wonder what else they drop off there. I just need to figure out which Goodwill in my town sells the toys.
Well now I know why that place is always so packed. They also had other store stuff there new with tags attached. (O'Neil board shorts and swim suits, Billibong (sp?) shorts and shirts)

It must be a policy of theirs, because I've seen Target stuff at the goodwill in Charleston, WV too.

The funny thing is, I watch target clearance prices pretty closely, and I noticed that the prices when UP when they gave it to goodwill. Of course, they don't give it to goodwill until its probably hit 75-90% off at Target anyway.

I'm a bit of a target clearance snob. I don't even LOOK at the 30% off and 50% just barely catches my attention.

Elisaski, I guess I am a clearance snob right along with you. Since I've been doing GG, it has only gotten worse!!!

Right before I moved out of Las Vegas, they carried HUGE amts of Target stuff... both clearance and NON clearance items. It rocked! I've since moved to Colorado and there are no Goodwill stores in my city. :( BUt yesterday I stopped into the Salvation Army and they had Target stuff! I scored on brand spankin new Halloween costumes for the kids at $2.50 each!

I find new stuff at my Goodwills (there are 4 in my city) but I don't recall it being from Target. Our Salvation Armys have stuff that's not as nice as GW.

I was in Vegas at my baby bro's for Christmas a few years back and we went junkin' Sunday after Christmas--not only did they have a huge array of Target stuff, but they had 50% off everything because it was Sunday.

I got a leap pad plus writing setup w/ 3 leap pad books in it NIB for --> $12.50!!! You can't even get one of the books for that!

I think it was a return but it's worked like a charm for almost 3 years now! Wahoo!

Also I found at one of the LA thrifts a ton of NWT Gap jeans--got them for $5 apiece!

Junkin' rules! Thrift stores are not what they used to be.

I have a thrift near me they use to get everything from one of our local malls that were high end stores that were clearanced, out of season, etc.Mind you this was a store that sold theses dresses originally for $600 ea & up...All the high schoolers seemed to be on it caz they would get their prom dresses, home coming,& any fancy do dance they had they'd head out there & it would get packed quickly. You could get the dress for under $10......The mall eventually closed up so now that thrift doesn't get the stuff anymore, but those girls were very smart at a young age.

Especially watch after holidays and they donate unsold merchandise to Goodwill and other thrift stores. Last year I got 3 of those light up moving deer that go in your yard for $8 each and 2 of the twirl light up trees for the year for $6 each, all new and all from Target.

I used to work at Target and yes, they send pallets off to Goodwill. Most of the stuff is leftovers from what didn't sell @ 90% or repackaged stuff. Really good stuff but I was dissapointed when I checked my Goodwill and found alot of the stuff marked up. Clearance snob here too:D

I wish I knew when they sent over their shipments to Goodwill. I have one that is just about 2 miles from me. It's pretty nice.
