Put on your thinking caps, I have an idea. Lets all try to think about one small act we can do for someone tomorrow. Here are some ideas. List your ideas or pick one from the list but lets all shoot to make tomorrow "one small act day". Not looking for expensive here, just thoughtful.

Kind Ideas:
Send your kids teacher a thank you note.
Offer to bring a coworker lunch the next day.
Send your kid a special snack in his/her lunch.
Offer to help an elderly neighbor plant some flowers.
Give someone a compliment on something they do great everyday that goes unnoticed most days.

I like the "kind word to someone" idea...I think I'll do that one tomorrow.
I gave 5 tubes of toothpaste away to someone yesterday (who is going to share them with his family members)....and I sent a $20 walmart gift card to a friend in another state who is trying to subsist on SSI and is only able to make the money last half the month after paying bills and trying to buy what she needs at the store....so I try to send her things from time to time to help out.

I love "pay it forwards" or RAOK type of things! Great idea!

Let somebody in front of you in line or while driving.
Pay for someone's coffee, lunch, grocery bill.
Babysit for a friend or relative who doesn't get out much.
Write your spouse a love note.
Write your kid a love note.
Send a "thinking of you" card to someone.
Take a small bouquet of flowers to someone.
Put a surprise gift bag on somebody's door by delivery or mail. It could be anything, freebie coupons, gift cards, stuff from your stockpile.

I did this once to a former coworker whom I hadn't seen in over five years. She had admired my mini tea sets in my office because she collects them. A few years after I left that job, I decided to get rid of the tea sets in the process of decluttering the house, so I put them in a bag with a card and a box of tea from her secret friend and left them on her doorstep. She still doesn't know it was me. And I don't miss those tea sets at all!

You never know how just reaching out in some little way can change someone's day, mood or life. You don't know what they're going through behind closed doors, what kind of problems they have, what they're feeling inside. I've been reduced to tears by other people's kindnesses.

There are teachers who stand out and "greet" the students everyday at my children's school. I did this one morning for a teacher having a birthday. Not only did my day go better but the teacher has not stopped talking about how nice it was not to be outside on a cold day! A simple act of kindness and only an hour out of my day. You can do this for recess as well. The teachers appreciate any time during the day that they can do things that would be difficult with the children around. :)
