This is a recipe I got from my boss awhile back ..and it's sooo easy. Not sure of name..but I call it Can soup stew LOL It's GREAT! It's very cheap to make..maybe $10 or less for the canned items buying at regular price and then price of meat. I'm sure most of you can make this for free or pay very little :)

4 cans Minnestrone (campbells brand)
2 cans Rotel - med. (I usually just use 1)
2 cans Ranch Style Beans
2 sm. cans tomato sause
2 cups water or more depending on how think you like it.
Pound of hamburger meat, browned

Brown and drain meat...add all the canned ingredients and meat in a pot and heat.

If you don't want to make that much just decrease to two cans Minnestrone and etc.

This does sound like a good, inexpensive soup for the upcoming cold months! Thanks for sharing!

Hmmm, do you know where I find Ranch Style Beans? I am not familiar with those. I would love to try the recipe now that it has gotten cold!

Oh Nicole....

Ranch Style Beans http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f71/drcheryl/Photos%20-%20Other/foodlocker_1916_65069365.gif

My kids LOVE these. They come in regular, jalapeno, sweet onion, pinto beans and pinto beans w/ jalapeno...

I guess they are a Texas thing. If you go to foodlocker.com and click on Texas you will see it under regional foods along with Rotel and Blue Bell.

So I guess us northerners just use canned pinto beans? We do have Rotel (love it!).

Nicole if you have Bush's chili beans those are pretty similar to Ranch Style Beans. We do not use Ranch style beans anymore so we use Bush's chili beans.

I'm guessing you could use any type of bean you wanted in place of ranch style...also as much meat or as little meat as you want..doesn't have to be just a pound. Guess it is a Texas thing with the ranch beans LOL :) But it is a WONDERFUL soup and my hubby loves it. I make it often since it's so cheap to make.
