How far do you make your menus in advance?

We usually make up our menus one week at a time - the boyfriend and I take turns cooking based on who is home first so our menu reflects that.

I usually plan it out on Sunday night based off of what protien I have in the house, what events are planned for the week, what didn't get made from the previous week's menu and if I have a hankering for anything in particular.

I have a 30-45 day menu. I pick and choose from that. I usually will put it on the calendar for 2 weeks in advance and try to stick to it. It normally depends on leftovers. Wed and Fri are usually are leftover nights unless we don't have anything leftover. Then I have to choos from the main menu what to serve. I am nopt creative so I like a basic 30-45 menu to choose from. I usually have so much meat in the house it works out well.
